Grain: The base protein in making beer that fermentable sugars are derived from.
Schooner: A type of boat and two-thirds of a pint measure.
Grain Schooner was originally born to be a beer shop in central Kirkcaldy. Kirkcaldy for centuries has been a grain processing and exporting centre in Fife so the name felt appropriate to commemorate the history locally.
Unfortunately the economy said no so it was back to the drawing board where the plans for home delivery got worked out. So we bought a van and set it all in motion.
Our selection of beer comes from across the world. From KY postcodes to everywhere.
For those who don't drink beer, fret not for we also stock spirits, wine, cider and a handful of soft drinks as well!
